Tony Edward McCard, 75, of Thomaston, died July 27, 2011, at the Medical Center of Central Georgia.
Mr. McCard was born on January 20, 1936, in Pike County, son of the late Edward McCard and the late Velma Legg McCard. He was an officer with the Thomaston Police Department for 34 years, 24 years as Chief of Police. He was a member of the Peace Officers Association of Georgia.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley R. McCard of Thomaston; daughters and son in law, Sheila Britt of Thomaston, Toye and Tommy Dander of Haddock; sons and daughters in law, Kim and Donna McCard of Yatesville, Keith and Marsha McCard of Thomaston; sisters and brothers in law, June and Pat Sams of Thomaston, Lavone and Norman Mangham of Lifsey Springs; 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren.

Friday from 5 to-7 pm at the Coggins Funeral Home

Saturday at 11:00 am in the chapel of Coggins Funeral Home

Southview Cemetery
