Mr. Joe Robert Wright, 66, of Thomaston, died Monday, August 1, 2011, at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta.
Mr. Wright was born on October 26, 1944, in Troup County, son of the late Joe Wilbur Wright and the late Katherine Moore Wright. He was the owner of Wright Poultry Farm. He attended Mt. View Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his son, Jimmy Freeman.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda W. Wright of Thomaston; daughters and sons in law, Sherry and Derek Fowler of Thomaston, Julie and Greg Kilby of Thomaston; sons, Robby Wright of Thomaston, Todd Wright of Atlanta; mother in law, Sadie Williams of Anderson, SC; daughter in law, Brenda Freeman of Thomaston; brother and sister in law, Render and Joyce Wright of Mountville; sister and brother in law, Mary and Phil Waldrop of Hogansville; brother in law, Larry and Jennie Williams of Morganton; sisters in law, Nancy and Sonny Webb of Thomaston, Jimmie and Buck Hooper of Anderson, SC; 12 grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mt. View Baptist Church.
